How Sentences Are Classified
Every sentence is sorted into one of three bands by word count: OK (25 words or fewer), Long (26–40 words), or Very long (more than 40 words). This is a word-count classification, not a judgement on whether the sentence actually reads well — a 30-word sentence that flows cleanly may still be fine, and a 15-word sentence can still be awkward.

Every sentence is listed with its word count and band, alongside your text's average sentence length and its single longest sentence, so you can see at a glance where the problem spots sit.
Fixing an Over-Long Sentence
Look for a natural conjunction to split at, pull a subordinate clause out into its own sentence, or check for a buried list that would work better as bullet points.
